The unique Bastardo Brut wine was presented at the stand of the Inkerman Vintage Wine Factory at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). This was announced to Izvestia on June 18 by Alexander Cherny, head of the Inkerman brand development department.

"We have a lot of new products today: Pinot Noir Brut, Bastardo Brut is a red brut that we made and are presenting at the forum today," he said.

Cherny added that Bastardo Brut is made from the Magaracha grape variety, a unique grape variety that was bred about 100 years ago.

"This grape variety is no longer found outside Crimea. Usually, traditionally, red wines are made from it, quiet, but we made brut from it. It was an extremely difficult task for the winemakers, but we succeeded," he added.

The representative of Inkerman also clarified that a large reconstruction is currently underway at the plant itself — a tourist cluster is being built there, which will become a new point of attraction in Sevastopol.

"We are building a tourism cluster that will receive our guests on a completely new level. There will be a restaurant, a large company store, and about 10 tasting rooms," he concluded.

The stand of the Novy Svet House of champagne wines was also presented at the SPIEF.

Pinot Noir is our hero of the year, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, also a hero of the day, 30 years old. We also have our unique line of monosort wines "Chardonnay Cuvee de Prestige", "Riesling Cuvee de Prestige", said Julia, Head of Marketing at the Novy Svet Champagne Hall.

On June 16, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that Sevastopol's wine industry is the highlight of the city. He emphasized that this area represents the main contribution "to the growth and revenues of companies."
