- Titov spoke about the possibilities of new technologies to change the market economy

New developments will help to change the economic model, introduce more elements for forecasting and planning. This was announced on June 18 by Boris Titov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Relations with International organizations for achieving Sustainable Development Goals, speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"Of course, today the main factor that will probably affect our entire lives, including the economy, is new technologies," he said at the session "The Future of the World Order: between collision and cooperation."
In addition, the special representative of the President stressed that modern technologies used in the economy will lead to an increase in household incomes and eliminate inequality. In addition, he noted that in the future, demand will determine supply.
"Therefore, if we are talking about what to call this economy, then, most likely, the name 'demand economy' will be the closest," he added.
Earlier in the day, Dmitry Dubynin, Director General of the National Payment Card System (NSPK), told Izvestia on the sidelines of SPIEF 2025 about the use of high technologies in the field of finance and payments for services. In addition, the head of the NSPK also stressed the need for everyone to have the same opportunities to access technology and use high-tech services that make life easier for Russians.
