Damage from IT crimes in the Russian Federation exceeded 81 billion rubles in five months

In the first five months of 2025, the damage caused by IT crimes in Russia exceeded 81 billion rubles. This was announced on June 18 by Danil Filippov, Deputy Head of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).

"The damage, despite the fact that the number of crimes decreased, amounted to 81 billion rubles in five months," Filippov said, quoted by TASS.

In addition, he clarified that about 16 billion rubles were blocked on the accounts of cybercriminals during this period of time.

Filippov reported on June 11 that the damage from remote theft in the Russian Federation for four months of 2025 amounted to 64 billion rubles. According to him, over 308 thousand IT crimes were recorded during this period. At the same time, it was clarified that most of the cases are remote theft.
