Russia needs to communicate its point of view and the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Western public. This was stated on June 18 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in a conversation with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"We need to bring our point of view, the point of view of our president, to the Western public," Peskov said.

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation also noted that in direct communication with Putin, foreign mass media (mass media) do not distort the words of the Russian leader.

On the same day, Peskov said that representatives of news agencies from unfriendly countries would take part in a meeting with Putin during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025). The traditional meeting with the heads of international news agencies is scheduled to take place on the evening of June 18.
