In Crimea, they plan to create a multifunctional innovation cluster based on the Yalta Film Studio. 25 billion rubles will be invested in the facility, the press service of the Republican State Council reported on Wednesday, June 18.

According to IA SevastopolMedia, the cultural cluster project will include a film museum, an acting school, film pavilions and a pool for filming underwater.

The plans also include the construction of a hotel, a shopping complex and the improvement of the recreation space for local residents and guests of the city.

The Yalta Film Studio was founded in 1917 by the Russian film factory Khanzhonkov and Co. It is located in Yalta. At one time, many famous films were shot here: in particular, "Ilya Muromets", "Amphibian Man", "Treasure Island" and others. In February 2015, it was nationalized.
