- The Lithuanian Foreign Minister stated that Ukraine's membership was not on the agenda of the NATO summit.

Ukraine's membership in the alliance is not on the agenda of the NATO summit. This was reported on June 18 by the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT with reference to the country's Foreign Minister Kestutis Budris.
"This issue is definitely not on the NATO agenda, and no one has formulated any expectations that there will be an invitation to The Hague, and we have not heard this from the Ukrainians themselves," Budris said.
According to him, the situation is almost the same as before the last summit of the alliance in 2024.
"There were no expectations that crucial decisions would follow either before the NATO summit in Washington or now. This is not on the agenda," the Lithuanian Foreign Minister added.
On June 11, Bloomberg reported that the NATO member states refused to mention Ukraine in a joint statement of the upcoming summit of the alliance in The Hague at the end of June. In addition, the text does not mention China, although earlier the bloc pointed to the alleged threat posed by it.
