- The political scientist pointed to the desire of the United States to establish a "puppet government" in Iran.

Konstantin Blokhin, a political scientist and researcher at the Center for Security Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences, expressed the opinion that the United States is highly likely to enter into a conflict between Israel and Iran, seeking a change in the political regime in the Islamic Republic.
"Most likely, the United States does not just want to stop the Iranian nuclear program. Their main goal is to change the regime and install a pro—American puppet government. Netanyahu is now doing everything possible to make this happen under Trump," Blokhin said in an interview with aif.ru on Wednesday, June 18th.
According to him, Donald Trump's views on Iran almost completely coincide with the position of the Israeli leadership. The expert also pointed out two possible scenarios in which the United States would almost certainly intervene in the conflict: if Israel's existence was threatened and it requested assistance, or if Iran attacked American bases in the region.
Earlier, ABC reported that within the next two days, Donald Trump will decide whether to continue diplomatic attempts on the Iranian nuclear program or to launch strikes against Iran.
On June 18, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev, in an interview with RT, noted that Israel's military operation against Iran has no basis in fact, as it is based only on assumptions about Iran's nuclear program, but the assumptions are not confirmed.
On June 17, military political analyst Alexander Perendzhiev stated that the most likely scenario for the development of the conflict between Israel and Iran is its gradual attenuation by early July.
On the same day, political analyst Yuri Svetov said that Israel would not emerge victorious from a protracted war with Iran without US military assistance. 360.ru . Svetov described the conflict as ideological, where the parties pursue fundamentally different goals: Iran seeks to destroy Israel, and Israel, in turn, seeks regime change in the Islamic Republic, notes Life.ru .
At the same time, Simon Tsipis, an Israeli political scientist and expert on security and the Middle East, said that Israel had launched a military operation against Iran to distract attention from internal crises and failures, as well as against the background of the conflict between Netanyahu and Trump.
On June 13, Zoltan Koshkovich, an analyst at the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights, believes that Israel's attack on Iranian nuclear facilities complicates the situation for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, writes Regnum news agency. According to him, against the background of the conflict with Tehran, Israel will actively purchase air defense systems, which will reduce supplies to Kiev, where there is already a shortage.
