Iranian authorities have extended the ban on international and domestic flights
Iran extended the ban on international and domestic flights until 01:30 Moscow time on June 19. This was reported on June 18 by the Tasnim agency with reference to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic.
"Due to recent events, in order to ensure the safety of passengers and flight safety <...>, the country's airspace will be declared closed until two a.m. [local time] on Thursday," the newspaper writes.
Iranian citizens were advised to refrain from visiting airports in the country and to follow flight-related news in official sources.
On June 16, the Nour News agency reported an attempt by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to launch rockets near the international airport in Tabriz in northwestern Iran. It was clarified that the Iranian air defense forces successfully destroyed all "enemy targets", preventing their arrival.
