Russia is awaiting proposals from the United States on dates for further negotiations to eliminate "irritants" in relations between the countries. This was announced on June 18 in the Izvestia studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025) by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

According to her, Washington did not explain the cancellation of consultations of the delegations of the countries, which became known on June 16. The countries were supposed to hold consultations on the normalization of the embassies.

Zakharova added that the administration of the previous US President Joe Biden had caused "colossal and monstrous" damage to relations between Moscow and Washington.

"Such is the general administration (of former US Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden. — Ed.) The Obama-Biden administration, with all this liberal part of the American political establishment, which is actually a liberal dictatorship," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman stressed.
