A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces liberated the settlement of Novonikolayevka in the Sumy region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a result of the group's actions amounted to over 165 militants, three armored fighting vehicles, three vehicles, six field artillery guns, two ammunition depots and a logistics depot.

The Zapad group, in turn, liberated the village of Dolgenke in the Kharkiv region. The enemy lost more than 220 soldiers, as well as a Cossack armored car, eight vehicles, two artillery pieces, two electronic warfare stations, a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar station and four ammunition depots.

"The units of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. They defeated formations of four mechanized, amphibious assault, jaeger, assault brigades, a brigade of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two brigades of marines and a brigade of the National Guard in the areas of the settlements of Petrovsky, Dimitrov, Novonikolayevka, Grodovka, Krasnoarmeysk and Novoretsky of the Donetsk People's Republic," the Russian Defense Ministry added.

In addition, tactical aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missile troops and artillery of the Russian army defeated the workshops for the production and assembly of attack drones, their storage sites, ammunition depots, as well as temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in 147 districts.

The Air Defense Forces, in turn, shot down four American-made JDAM guided aerial bombs, seven HIMARS multiple rocket launcher shells and 236 aircraft-type UAVs.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 64,206 UAVs, 611 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,953 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,572 multiple rocket launchers, 26,331 field artillery and mortars, 36,996 units of special military vehicles.
