One of the most significant pages of the modern history of the country is the years of the Great Patriotic War and the day when it began. This year marks the 84th anniversary of the events that forever changed the fate of millions of people, both our compatriots and residents of other countries. For the Day of Remembrance and Mourning on June 22, Izvestia has prepared postcards that can be posted on social networks or sent to relatives and friends.

"June 22 is a date that has remained forever in the heart of our country. Today we remember all those who faced the war on the border and in the rear, who did not live to see victory, who became a symbol of courage. May their feat live on in our deeds, and not just in our memory."

"This day reminds us of how fragile the world is. Today we are silent and remember those who were cut off from life on the most terrible day in the history of the country. We bow our heads to all those who died and to those who survived, bearing the pain through the decades."

"We grieve and remember. June 22 is the day when the Great Patriotic War began. The day that changed millions of human destinies. This is a time for deep gratitude to the ancestors. Thank you for our freedom."

"On June 22, a tragedy began that changed the course of history. On this day, we remember not only the military, but also the millions of civilians whose lives were broken. It's important to remember what happened so that it doesn't happen again. A blessed memory to everyone who became a victim of that terrible war."

"Today is the day when the whole nation freezes in sorrow. The day when one of the worst tragedies in history began. Remember: behind our peaceful morning is someone's unlived youth, someone's unfinished life. We all bow our heads in gratitude to the heroes."

"June 22 is the day when the word "war" ceases to be a line from a textbook. On this day, she entered people's homes, hearts, and destinies. May there never be a morning like that again. May our memory keep in our hearts the pain and loss of that bloodthirsty war."

"A blessed memory to those who did not return, who did not live to see it, who silently went into immortality. Your feat is in our hearts, in our prayers, in every flower and candle by the Eternal Flame."

"On this day, we learn to be quieter, listen more attentively, and feel deeper. Because the pain of war is not just the past. It's always a part of us. Take care of the world. It is not given in vain."

"No matter how many years have passed, the morning of June 22 still sounds like sirens in the memory of generations. May our hearts be grateful and our souls kind. For the sake of those who gave everything for this Victory."

"This day reminds us how fragile life is. And how strong a human will can be. Let's bow our heads. Let's light a candle. Let's look at the sky and remember those who looked there for the last time."

"Let there be a minute of silence in every home today. And let everything be heard in this silence: pain, gratitude, respect. Thank you, living and gone. We remember."

"The war is not going away. She lives in letters, in mom's tears, in grandpa's silence. June 22 is the day when you need to be there, listen and remember."

"Today, the most important thing is memory. Not gifts, not congratulations, but warm words of gratitude to those who fought and those who waited. Let no one's heart remain indifferent."

"I bow low to those who stood up for life. Who died so that we could live. Let their feat resound in our actions, not just in our speeches."

"Not every day teaches us how to live. But June 22 is exactly like that. He teaches us to cherish, to love, not to be silent when it is important to say: "Thank you. We remember."

"Let everyone reflect today on how much has been given for the sake of peace. And how important it is to be worthy of this world. Memory is our gratitude, expressed in deeds."

"On this day, one cannot help but feel a heart-rending pain. Thanks to the heroes — for their courage, for their faith, for the eternal light in the history of the people. The silence of June 22 is louder than any fireworks. Listen to it, because it contains the voices of those who left without waiting for Victory, but bringing it closer every day."

"Today I just want to be with my loved ones. Hold hands, keep silent, and remember those who are no longer around. Because thanks to those who left then, we live now. May the memory be eternal."
