Iran has a legitimate right to defend itself against attacks from Israel. This was announced on June 18 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a meeting of the faction of the ruling Justice and Development Party headed by him in parliament.

"Iran's self—defense against illegal Israeli attacks is natural, legitimate and legitimate," the Ynet news agency quoted him as saying.

The Turkish leader recalled that the attack took place before the completion of the Iranian-American negotiations on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

Earlier in the day, more than 50 fighter jets of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked a number of military targets in the Tehran area, including a facility for the production of centrifuges for uranium enrichment. According to the Israeli army, the Iranian regime is enriching uranium to develop nuclear weapons, as such a high level is not required for civilian nuclear power.

Later, Vice President of Iran, head of the country's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami called the situation at nuclear facilities good after the Israeli attack.
