AvtoVAZ has updated the Lada Niva Travel SUV

AvtoVAZ presented the restyled Lada Niva Travel SUV at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). This was reported by a correspondent of Izvestia from the scene on June 18.

The updated Lada Niva Travel is scheduled to go on sale in the fall of 2025, Sergey Kornienko, AvtoVAZ's head of product marketing, told Izvestia. The model will be put into production approximately at the end of summer.

The restyled all-wheel drive model features a front-end exterior design. The car received LED optics, redesigned bumpers, and a different grille trim.

There are also changes in technology. Under the hood is a new 1.8 engine with a capacity of 90 hp with a lot of torque. The current 1.7 engine with a capacity of 83 hp will disappear from the Niva Travel range.

The transmission remained unchanged. A suspension with a modified stabilizer bar and ventilated brakes are installed, as well as 17-inch wheels in a new design. There are no changes in the interior.

"The price will definitely be different from the current model as it has received new equipment. We will try to keep it as accessible as possible," said Kornienko.

Now Lada Niva Travel costs from 1.31 million rubles.

In addition, on the same day at the SPIEF, the automaker presented the Lada Aura model in the taxi specification. The business sedan is made in white with appropriate taxi stickers and "checkers" on the roof. The exterior finish is black.
