Starovoit announced the planned increase in aviation mobility of Russians

The national project "Efficient Transport System" will increase aviation mobility of Russians by 1.5 times. This was announced by Russian Transport Minister Roman Starovoit in the Izvestia studio at SPIEF 2025.
"Efficient Transport System" is a project launched on behalf of President Vladimir Putin, aimed at creating a unified transport system capable of meeting the needs of citizens and businesses.
According to Starovoit, the president has set a goal to increase the availability of air travel for the population by 50%. For this purpose, the infrastructure is being modernized: by 2030, it is planned to build and reconstruct 75 air terminals.
The Minister of Transport clarified that four new terminals have already been commissioned in 2025, including a key hub in the North Caucasus. He stressed that to a large extent these projects are implemented on the principles of public-private partnership.
"Private business is willing to invest in the construction of terminals today, and this task is on our monitors, on our radars, if I may say so," Starovoit added.
Earlier, on June 18, Izvestia reported that a project for the development of Pulkovo Airport was presented at SPIEF 2025. At the moment, 52 boarding gates and 23 teletraps have appeared. The number of aircraft parking spaces has also been increased.
