The military analyst called the IRGC's statement about taking control of Israel's skies propaganda.

The statement of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the control of Israeli airspace should be considered as propaganda aimed at Iran's domestic audience. Igor Korotchenko, a military analyst and editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, told Izvestia on June 18.

"This is (the IRGC's statement. — Ed.) propaganda aimed at influencing its own audience and, perhaps, partially, the audience of residents of the Middle East region who sympathize with Iran. Iran cannot control Israeli airspace because there is no Iranian military aircraft in Israeli airspace. But Israeli aircraft are present in Iran's airspace," the source said.

He stressed that it is Israel that continues to use its aircraft to attack Iranian targets, which allows it to solve important tasks such as the destruction of nuclear facilities and the elimination of key military leaders and scientists of Tehran. In addition, work is currently underway to suppress the Iranian air defense system, which requires significant efforts due to the large extent of the country's territory.

According to Korotchenko, the Iranian attacks carried out with the help of drones and ballistic missiles are faced with the high efficiency of the Israeli missile defense system.

"Israeli estimates are that the missile defense system intercepts 90% of attacking Iranian missiles. In reality, I think this figure is not true. Somewhere in the order of, probably, 20, or maybe 25% of Iranian missiles reach targets in Israel," said the editor-in—chief of the National Defense magazine.

The military analyst also noted Israel's vulnerability due to the depletion of anti-missile systems, which could complicate the situation if attacks from Iran continue. He focused on Iran's successful strikes on Israeli oil industrial facilities, which could negatively affect the country's economy.
