The head of Opora Russia urged small businesses to adapt to new trends

Small businesses need to actively implement modern technologies to survive in the new economic reality. Alexander Kalinin, president of the All-Russian Public Organization of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Opora Rossii, told Izvestia on June 18 in the Izvestia studio as part of the SPIEF.
He explained that a technological revolution is taking place now, covering all areas — from artificial intelligence and robotics to waste recycling and energy transmission. In these circumstances, only a smart small business that follows current trends can count on success.
"Here, "smart" small businesses — and today, "stupid" small businesses do not survive — need to be on trend," Kalinin said.
The head of the organization paid special attention to the need for a rapid exchange of experience between entrepreneurs. According to him, it is critically important to quickly find and implement the best international practices.
Kalinin noted that modern challenges require businesses not only to digitalize, but also to actively explore new technological directions that shape the economy of the future.
Earlier, on June 16, Izvestia reported an increase in the number of exporting companies from the SME sector by one and a half times. It became known that over 60 thousand exporters in the SME sector are currently working in Russia. Their share in non-primary non-energy exports has increased by more than 2.5 times since 2019 and amounted to 23%.
