A temporary blackout has occurred in Bishkek and the surrounding region.

Almost the whole of Bishkek and the adjacent Chui region were left without electricity. Later, the power supply was fully restored. This was announced on June 18 by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy.
"Currently, electricity supply in the capital and the Chui region has been restored after a short period of time," a representative of the Ministry of Energy for the region said in a statement, quoted by the TASS news agency.
It is specified that the reason for the blackout was "technical problems."
A part of Abkhazia was left without electricity on May 10 due to strong winds. Power outages were recorded in Tkuarchala, as well as in Ochamchyrsky and Gulrypshsky districts. Later it became known that the electricity supply to parts of Sukhum and Gagra had been restored.
