In the Ehirit-Bulagatsky district of the Irkutsk region, traffic police officers were forced to catch up with an intoxicated driver on foot. This was reported on June 18 in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

"The prosecution ended in success: the traffic police detained the intoxicated violator and brought him to legal responsibility," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is specified that traffic police officers patrolled the streets of the village of Ust-Ordynsky. A Toyota Belta car caught their attention. The driver of the car did not respond to the signal from the specialists, after which the inspector went to the foreign car, but the man behind the wheel began to move.

The officers decided to chase the car, after which the offender abandoned his vehicle and tried to escape from pursuit by running, but the traffic police inspector caught up with him.

The driver of the foreign car refused to carry out the medical examination procedure. The staff specialists managed to find out that in 2023 the offender was deprived of his driver's license. Now the traffic police officers see signs of a criminally punishable act in his actions.

On June 7, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Irkutsk region reported that a drunk 16-year-old teenager chased a traffic police car in the village of Kvitok. The statement noted that the violator's legal representatives would be brought to justice, and the young man would be placed on preventive registration with law enforcement agencies.
