Pashinyan called billionaire Karapetyan a fraud

On June 17, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who was detained in Yerevan, was a fraud and addressed him as "you."
"He says we will intervene in our own way. Now I'm going to step in my own way, you scammer. Or rather, in your opinion," says Pashinyan's Facebook post (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on June 17 that Russia would provide assistance to Karapetyan, whose house was being searched amid his support for the Armenian Apostolic Church. According to her, the Russian side will "provide him with the necessary assistance so that all his legitimate rights are respected."
On the same day, it was reported that Karapetyan was being tried to be detained for speaking out in support of the Armenian Apostolic Church. It was clarified that the Interior Ministry officers arrived at Karapetyan's house immediately after he made a statement in defense of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
