China has secretly sent three transport planes towards Iran amid the escalating situation in the Middle East. This was reported on June 17 by The Telegraph newspaper.

"On Friday, a day after the Israeli attack on Iran, a cargo plane took off from China. The next day, a second plane took off from the coastal city. Then on Monday, another one took off, this time from Shanghai — three flights in three days," the article says.

According to the newspaper, Luxembourg was marked as the final destination of the aircraft flight, however, the planes probably never got there.

According to aviation experts, Boeing 747 aircraft are usually used to transport military weapons and equipment and are sometimes used to fulfill government orders.

"These shipments cannot but arouse great interest, as there are expectations that China can help Iran in some way," Andrea Ghiselli, a lecturer at the University of Exeter, told the agency.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced on June 17 that only Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin can stop the Iranian-Israeli conflict. Later, orientalist Lukyanov, in an interview with Izvestia, noted Israel's unwillingness to have intermediaries in the conflict with Iran.
