Blogger Badalyan called Pashinyan's actions against Karapetyan "intimidation"
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, attempting to seize power in the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), is trying to "intimidate" Samvel Karapetyan, a Russian businessman and head of the Tashir Group of companies. Blogger Mika Badalyan told Izvestia about this on June 17.
As Badalyan noted, the Armenian Prime Minister, acting "at the behest" of the West, is trying to subordinate the Armenian Apostolic Church, which, according to the Constitution of Armenia, is a separate body of the Armenian Apostolic Church to the state. For this, as it is specified, Pashinyan is ready to destroy all who stand in his way.
"He (Pashinyan. — Ed.) has now launched an attack. He will try to scare, intimidate (Karapetyan. — Ed.) in order to show the people that, look, they can't do anything against me," Badalyan said.
According to him, it all started after Karapetyan made a statement in support of the Armenian Apostolic Church, while Pashinyan has been "attacking" the church in recent weeks in order to change the Catholicos and seize power.
It was these statements, according to the blogger, that could provoke the appropriate behavior of the prime minister, who, trying to prove his strength to the West, is actually experiencing a "pretty serious blow."
In addition, Badalyan called the head of the Tashir Group of companies a symbol of Russian-Armenian friendship and successful Russian-Armenian business cooperation.
