More than 60 people are missing after two shipwrecks off the coast of Libya. This was announced on June 17 by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
"IOM is deeply saddened by two confirmed shipwrecks off the coast of Libya in recent days, as a result of which, according to IOM search and rescue teams on the ground, at least 60 people are missing at sea," the publication says.
It is specified that the survivors received the necessary medical care from the IOM staff immediately after disembarkation.
The 7SUR7 portal reported on April 16 that at least 100 people were killed in the crash of a passenger ferry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). It was clarified that the incident occurred on the Congo River, near the city of Mbandaka. According to the newspaper, the cause of the shipwreck was a fire.
