Russia maintains a steady dynamic of economic development, unlike Western countries, which face various challenges. This was announced on June 17 by Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

"Speaking of today, we are saving jobs, we are maintaining stable dynamics of economic development, we are fulfilling all our social obligations, unlike the problems that we see, [which] Western countries face first of all," he said on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

The minister stressed that Western countries have become less competitive due to the abandonment of affordable energy resources from Russia and the loss of the Russian market.

Siluanov noted that the short-sighted policy of Western officials has led to a recession in a number of countries, as well as a decrease in living standards in them. According to him, the prospects for these countries are "very vague."

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on May 26 that the Russian economy is developing at a good pace, with growth of 4.3% over the past year. The Head of State noted that the positive dynamics affected key sectors: industry, agriculture, digital technologies, services and finance. He also called the merit of business the fourth place of the Russian Federation in the world economic ranking in terms of purchasing power parity.
