A bomb from the Second World War was discovered in Osnabrück, Germany.


About 11,000 residents of the German city of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony are forced to leave their homes immediately after the discovery of an unexploded bomb from World War II. Information about this was published on the official website of the city on June 17.
"Immediate evacuation of residents of the affected areas will be carried out. Please leave your homes," the statement said.
It is reported that the shell was discovered during construction work. The Osnabrück authorities clarified that the evacuation is scheduled to be completed by 19:00 (20:00 Moscow time). There are several districts in the danger zone, including the central part of the city.
On April 17, a 500-pound (about 227 kg) World War II bomb was discovered in Cologne. It is noted that the evacuation of the population affected 7,8 thousand people.
