Canada has announced its intention to impose new sanctions against Russia

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, during a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the sidelines of the G7 summit, said that Ottawa would impose new sanctions against Moscow, which would affect a number of individuals and over 40 organizations. This was reported on June 17 by the CTV channel.
"Today, Canada is announcing a number of sanctions measures, primarily against a number of individuals in Russia and more than 40 organizations in Russia and abroad," Carney said.
In addition, the Canadian Prime Minister noted that the country will allocate a new package of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of over $ 2 billion.
Earlier that day, the UK expanded the anti-Russian sanctions list, adding 10 individuals and 20 vessels allegedly linked to Russia. In particular, two citizens of the Russian Federation, a citizen of Ukraine, and a citizen of Poland were sanctioned.
