A criminal case has been opened against a resident of Bashkiria after beating a baby in a stroller. This was reported on June 17 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.
"A video has been widely distributed in the media space, which shows a woman beating a child in a baby carriage near one of the shops in Blagoveshchensk," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is clarified that a criminal case has been opened against the woman under Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor").
The Bashkiria Prosecutor's office's Telegram channel added that the guardianship authorities had initiated the removal of six children from the family of the woman who had beaten the baby. Previously, she was brought to administrative responsibility for the improper upbringing of her children.
An eyewitness to the incident told Izvestia that a mother with many children who beat up a baby in Bashkiria often screams at her children and remains intoxicated with them.
"My friend's daughter goes to the same group with this woman's children. I hear all the time that she is constantly yelling at the children, they are untidy, the mother is constantly intoxicated," said Valeria, an employee of the store who is familiar with the situation.
On June 2, a criminal case was opened in Podolsk, Moscow region, against a woman who beat her 10-year-old daughter and threatened to kill her. It was established that a local resident born in 1988 was intoxicated and started a conflict with her minor child.
