The expert warned about fraud with fake photos

Cybersecurity expert Alexey Rayevsky explained how dangerous fraud is with the generation of other people's photos using neural networks.
In conversation with aif.ru On Tuesday, June 17, the specialist said that attackers can create such images if they collect enough materials. The main purpose of the attackers is blackmail.
"Scammers are purely pragmatic people, and if they don't make a profit from generating other people's photos, they won't do it," Rayevsky stressed.
At the same time, the expert noted that it is difficult to fully protect yourself from such threats, because "even deleting information does not guarantee security."
According to him, due to the development of technology, photographs and videos themselves lose their value as evidence, "photographs and videos as physical evidence are being devalued."
"The armor is always lagging behind. And during this period of time — between the appearance of a new projectile and a new armor — someone may be unlucky, someone may become a victim of fraudsters," he concluded.
