Farmers have exceeded the plan for planting potatoes in Transbaikalia

Farmers in the Trans-Baikal Territory exceeded their potato planting plan by 7%. This is reported by the ChitaMedia news agency with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture of the region.
Potatoes were planted on an area of 603.5 hectares. This is 40 hectares more than the original plan. The largest field area — 366 hectares — has been developed in the Chita region.
Currently, the sowing of open-field vegetables is being completed in the region. The plan is 85% completed.
A week earlier, the harvesting campaign began in Russia. This year, farmers plan to harvest 5 million tons more grain than last year. The first producers to start harvesting were in the Crimea, Krasnodar Territory and the North Caucasus.
