One person was killed and one injured in a truck collision near St. Petersburg.


In the Tosnensky district of the Leningrad region, as a result of a collision between a container ship and a dump truck, one person was killed and another injured. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reports this in its Telegram channel.
The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, June 17, on the 642nd km of the federal highway M-10 "Russia". According to police, the 49-year-old driver of the Iveco container ship did not take into account the speed limit and crashed into a KAMAZ truck, which was standing in place, covering road work in the right lane.
The Iveco driver died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. A 60-year-old man who was in the KAMAZ was hospitalized with various injuries, the 78 TV channel said.
Law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation into the accident.
On June 16, two passenger cars, a Renault minivan and a bus en route Cheboksary - Moscow collided on the M–7 Volga in the Vyaznikovsky district of the Vladimir region. As a result, three people died.
