- Turkey has begun to increase missile production due to the conflict between Iran and Israel

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has ordered officials to increase production of medium- and long-range missiles amid the escalating Iran-Israel conflict. The Bloomberg news agency writes about this on June 17.
"We are developing production plans to bring our stocks of medium and long-range missiles to the level of deterrence in the light of recent events," Erdogan said after a cabinet meeting.
The Turkish president is actively promoting plans to develop an independent defense industry capable of producing military aircraft, tanks, unmanned aerial vehicles, frigates, and now missiles, both for export and for domestic purposes.
It is reported that the increased burden on the European defense industry due to the reluctance of US President Donald Trump to provide military support to Kiev provides a wide scope for Ankara in terms of entering the international defense market.
It is specified that Turkey, as part of the missile development program, is working to increase the range of its Tayfun missiles of its own production to a distance of over 560 km.
Earlier in the day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a missile attack on the logistics center of the Israeli military intelligence, located at the Glilot base in the suburbs of Tel Aviv. It is reported that the strikes were aimed not only at the Glilot base, but also at the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad in Herzliya.
