Sobyanin spoke about the development of pediatric cardiotherapy in Moscow

In Moscow, the number of operations for children with congenital heart defects has increased by 30% over the past five years. This was announced by the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, noting that such indicators were achieved "thanks to the comprehensive development of pediatric cardiology care."
According to the mayor, today specialized centers operate on the basis of the two largest children's hospitals named after N.F. Filatov and Morozovskaya. "Modern technologies make it possible to treat even the smallest patients, including premature babies," the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel. "Doctors perform high—tech operations both on the open heart and using gentle X-ray endovascular methods — without incisions." This practice avoids many complications and reduces the child's hospital stay, Sobyanin added.
The mayor pointed out that the cardiology centers carry out the full range of necessary measures, from pre—intervention diagnosis and preparation for surgery to monitoring the patient for a year after discharge.
Last Sunday, Sobyanin congratulated the medical workers of the capital on their professional holiday. The mayor, in particular, thanked them for their "talent, professionalism, sensitivity," as well as for their "contribution to the development of the capital's healthcare and preserving the health of Muscovites." As the mayor noted, the Moscow authorities, together with a "close—knit team of medical workers," are creating the best healthcare in the world in the capital - affordable, high-quality, and effective.
