- The political scientist called a likely scenario for the development of the conflict between Israel and Iran

The most likely scenario for the development of the conflict between Israel and Iran is its gradual fading by the beginning of July. This opinion was expressed by Alexander Perendzhiev, associate professor of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, military political scientist, on Tuesday, June 17.
"This is a military-technical issue, because the states are located at a sufficiently large distance from each other, and the confrontation eventually boils down to missile strikes and drone attacks. And, of course, with the conduct of sabotage activities, but here, of course, Israel is more active. At least for now," he said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
The military expert stressed that the stocks of missiles are not infinite, so the scenario of the conflict fading is possible, in particular, for this reason.
"The fading of the confrontation may not occur before the beginning of July. This is the most optimistic option. There is a more negative scenario — if Western countries start actively helping Israel, the conflict may drag on," the political scientist concluded.
Earlier in the day, The Times of Israel newspaper wrote, citing statements by the Israeli military, that the IDF operation and strikes on Iranian territory would not end until the threats of Tehran's nuclear program and rocket attacks were eliminated.
At the same time, the head of the operational directorate of the Israeli army, Major General Oded Basyuk, noted that Israel is attacking the Iranian leadership, not civilians.
Earlier in the day, the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the country's Air Force had carried out several large-scale strikes on Iranian military installations during the past night, RT reports. It was clarified that the targets of the attacks were dozens of launchers and warehouses for surface–to-surface missiles.
IRGC General Ali Shadmani, chief of the Central Headquarters of the country's Armed Forces (Headquarters of the Air Defense Forces) "Khatam al-Anbiya", became a victim of Israeli night strikes on Iran. 360.ru .
