As part of the agreement, the United States transferred the first eight Apache attack helicopters to Poland, they arrived at the Latkovo air base near Wroclaw. This was announced on June 17 by Polish Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh.

"This purchase and lease of Apache helicopters is well thought out. The purchase of helicopters corresponds to our obligations, in particular, to protect the eastern flank of NATO," the Defence24 portal quotes the head of the department.

He also thanked the American side for training 22 pilots to operate helicopters. Other helicopters that are still in production will be delivered to Poland in 2028. A total of 96 cars were ordered.

On August 13, 2024, Poland signed an agreement with the United States for the supply of 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. Later, in February of this year, the parties signed a contract for the lease of eight attack helicopters.
