Matthew Perry's doctor confessed to supplying the actor with ketamine before his death

The doctor of the American actor Matthew Perry, Salvador Placencia, admitted that he supplied the star of the TV series "Friends" with ketamine before his death. This was reported on June 17 by The New York Times.

"The doctor who illegally supplied the actor of the TV series "Friends" Matthew Perry with the drug ketamine a few weeks before his death in 2023 <...> agreed to plead guilty," the article says.

It is noted that Placencia gave Perry 20 vials of ketamine between September and October 2023. He now faces up to 40 years in prison and a fine of $2 million.

In total, five people have been charged in the Perry case, four of whom have already pleaded guilty. Only drug dealer Jaswyn Sangha, known as the "ketamine queen," disagrees with the prosecutors' version, adding "Газета.Ru ".

On October 29, 2023, it became known about the death of 54-year-old actor Matthew Perry. According to a TMZ source, he was found in the Jacuzzi of his own home in California. No traces of drugs were found near the place of the actor's death. Rescuers responded to a cardiac arrest call.

The US police have launched an investigation into the actor's death. It was noted that no signs of violent death were found at the scene of Perry's death, but the Los Angeles Police Department's Homicide and robbery squad was investigating the incident. Later, forensic experts found ketamine (a powerful painkiller) in the actor's body.
