The parents of the deceased Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak were awarded the Order of Courage on June 17.
It is reported that the Order of Fedorchak was awarded "For courage, bravery and dedication shown in the performance of professional duty."
On June 13, the parents were given the medal of Valor and Bravery. Along with the award, they received their son's personal belongings, which were carefully preserved by his colleagues.
The death of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak in the SVR zone became known on March 24. On the same day, Andrey Panov, the operator of the Zvezda TV channel, and Alexander Sirkeli, the driver of the film crew, died.
