Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz reminded Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of the fate of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, who was captured and executed after the invasion of his country by the US-led coalition. He stated this on June 17 following an operational meeting with representatives of the country's Ministry of Defense.

"I warn the Iranian dictator against continuing to commit war crimes and launch rockets at Israeli civilians. He should remember what happened to the dictator in Iran's neighboring country, who went against the State of Israel along the same path," Katz said. His words are quoted by the Ynet agency.

The Israeli Defense minister added that his country is attacking Iran on all fronts in accordance with its goals.

Earlier in the day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a missile attack on the logistics center of the Israeli military intelligence, located at the Glilot base in the suburbs of Tel Aviv. It is reported that the strikes were aimed not only at the Glilot base, but also at the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad in Herzliya.

On June 13, Israel attacked Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
