- The International Travel Forum "Travel!" has set a new level of industry events

From June 10 to June 15, 2025, the fifth anniversary International Travel Forum "Travel!", a key event of the Russian tourism industry on a global scale, was held on the territory of VDNH in Moscow. This year, by the decision of the Organizing Committee of the Forum, the event was awarded the status of "international". The Roscongress Foundation, together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Tourism Committee, organized the International Travel Forum "Travel!".
Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, moderated the central event of the Forum's business program, the plenary session. The welcoming speech of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, was announced at the session. It was read to the participants and guests of the Forum by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. Experts and listeners also received a video message from Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
"The International Travel Forum "Travel!" is a key event in the country's tourism sector. Its scale is expanding every year – representatives of 89 regions of Russia and delegations from 30 countries gathered at the VDNH site. More than four thousand people took part in the business program. Of course, the national project "Tourism and Hospitality", launched on the initiative of President Vladimir Putin, has become the driver of the industry's development. At the forum, we were able to receive feedback from citizens and businesses and evaluate the effectiveness of government support measures. Moreover, strategic decisions were considered and proposals were received to improve the processes of project implementation in the tourism industry. As part of the Forum, traditionally, consumers were given the opportunity to purchase discounted travel packages," Dmitry Chernyshenko said.
Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, noted that the International Travel Forum "Travel!" continues to gain momentum and today rightfully occupies a leading position on the agenda of industry events. "This year's business program has become the largest in the history of the Forum. The events of the festival program were attended by more than 433,000 guests, which became a record for the Forum and exceeded the number of last year, when visitors to the parallel events of the forum-the exhibition "Russia", held at VDNH, were taken into account. 61 substantive sessions were held, in which 427 speakers spoke. The agenda covered the most pressing issues: systemic modernization of infrastructure, new standards of service quality, development of agrotourism, import substitution, digitalization and promotion of tourism products. Also on June 12, Russia Day, a number of sessions were held aimed at developing human resources and the youth agenda. 30 agreements on cooperation between industry associations and businesses were signed on the sidelines of the Forum," emphasized Anton Kobyakov.
During the plenary session, Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, outlined the development vectors and reported on the achievements of the tourism industry in Russia for 2025, and also stressed: "Tourism is directly related to the welfare of the country – it is both jobs, investments, and a growth tool for the regions. Today, it is important not just to respond to challenges, but to turn them into opportunities, find new growth points and development directions. The Travel Forum has become a platform where the industry speaks the language of solutions, not problems." Dmitry Chernyshenko and Maxim Reshetnikov presented badges of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation "For contribution to the development of tourism" for the first time.
The Forum's festival site has become a center of attraction for a wide audience: for six days, subjects of the Russian Federation and 9 foreign countries were represented here. 438 organizations, including representatives of regional businesses, federal operators, accommodation facilities, and manufacturers of products for the tourism industry, presented their capabilities at 140 exhibition sites.
The Travel Forum brought together the tourism industry of the whole country, professionals from the global industry community and a wide audience of travelers to build new routes, ideas and solutions in the industry of the future.
