At least three people were killed and four injured in an Israeli strike on the town of Kashan in Isfahan province. This was reported on June 17 by the Mehr news agency, citing the deputy governor of the Iranian province, Akbar Salehi.

"During the brutal aggression of the Zionist regime against our Islamic homeland, a shell hit the checkpoint in Kashan this morning, June 17. As a result of this brutal attack, three people were killed and four were injured," he is quoted as saying on the agency's Telegram channel.

The Iranian Nour News agency reported on June 17 that the air defense systems of the Military Space Forces (VKS) of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) destroyed an Israeli drone near a nuclear facility in the city of Natanz, Isfahan province. The strike was carried out by the Khordad system, the third aerospace defense system of the IRGC.

On June 13, Israel attacked Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
