Interest in student tourism has increased by one and a half times

Since the beginning of 2025, 57 thousand participants have registered in the Studtourism program, the Ministry of Education and Science told Izvestia.

Currently, it is possible to visit 117 cities of Russia, as well as China, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan. About 15 thousand students have already traveled, and 40 thousand people took advantage of the program last year.

The program is open all year round and can be used by university students, young professionals, employees and scientists aged 18 to 35 years.

Young people pay for participation themselves, but the cost of housing during the trip is partially borne by partner universities: accommodation in dormitories is paid at a discounted price - 80-100 rubles per night. In addition, universities where program participants study can compensate students for travel expenses. Currently, 256 universities representing 117 cities and 85 regions of Russia, as well as the EAEU and CIS countries, cooperate with Studtourism.

"In recent years, Student tourism programs have undergone significant changes. Modern initiatives are focused not only on organizing blog tours and domestic trips around Russia, but also on active cooperation with foreign universities. The emphasis is on creating a single platform that unites cultural enrichment, personal development, scientific and professional development of young people, as well as popularization of achievements of Russian science and technology," the Ministry of Education and Science noted.
