Senator from the Komi Republic Elena Shumilova decided to terminate her duties ahead of schedule. Russian senator and Russian politician Vyacheslav Timchenko told Izvestia about this on June 16.

"A senator from the legislative body of the Komi Republic has written a statement on her early resignation at her own request," Timchenko said.

He also noted that Shumilova will leave her post on June 18.
