Five people, including two children, died in a fire in Korolev, Moscow region. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Moscow region informed about this on June 17.

"Unfortunately, three adults, children aged 7 and 4, died," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the fire occurred in a three-room apartment on the fourth floor of an apartment building on Korsakov Street, building No. 1. Firefighters promptly eliminated the fire on an area of 30 square meters. m.

A woman was rescued from a burning apartment. Three children were evacuated on neighboring floors.

As reported in the Telegram channel of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Moscow region, a criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). At the moment, investigators and criminologists are examining the fire site. The causes of the fire are being determined.

Earlier, on June 16, it was reported that an apartment on the eighth floor of a residential building in Podolsk had caught fire. 20 employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and four pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the fire.
