Iran does not have nuclear weapons yet, but the country can create them at any time, as it has all the possibilities for this. Stanislav Tarasov, a political scientist and expert on the problems of the Middle East and the Caucasus, expressed this opinion on Monday, June 16.

According to him, the policies of Israel and the United States are pushing Iran to build a nuclear bomb.

"Israel has nuclear weapons, Iran does not have such a bomb, but if Iran can withstand the pressure now, it will be forced to build a bomb," Tarasov said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

In his opinion, Israel and the United States and their policies in the region are pushing Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Iran is a high—tech country and by all indications it has a completed cycle of nuclear weapons development. He added that Israeli intelligence reports that Iran will create a nuclear bomb today or tomorrow are far-fetched.

On April 16, the Federation Council ratified the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran. It stipulates that the countries will develop equal and mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of politics, defense, economy, security, trade, investment, as well as energy, infrastructure, transport and communications.

Prior to that, on April 8, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran was ratified by deputies of the State Duma (State Duma). It was noted that Russia and Iran are striving for close coordination of activities at the regional and global levels. The treaty was submitted to the State Duma for ratification on March 26 by Russian President Vladimir Putin, RT reports.
