The regions of the Russian Federation with the largest share of accident-free drivers are named

The largest share of car owners with the maximum discount for accident—free driving under CTP (from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025) was recorded in Moscow - 51%. This is stated in the message of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), which was received by Izvestia on June 16.

St. Petersburg is in second place in terms of the share of drivers with the minimum bonus-malus coefficient (KBM) (48.4%), followed by Perm Krai (46.4%), Moscow Region (46.1%) and Leningrad Region (45.7%).

The average share of drivers with a minimum BMD value in Russia averaged almost a third — 37.3%. The above-average indicator was recorded in 27 more regions of the country. The maximum discount for accident-free driving can be obtained, for example, if you do not become the cause of an accident for ten years.

According to the RSA, drivers in the Republic of Dagestan (6.1%), the Chechen Republic (8.7%), the Republic of Ingushetia (8.7%) and the Republic of Tuva (9.5%) have the lowest maximum discount for trouble-free driving.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the number of people killed in road accidents in Russia has decreased with an increase in the number of accidents. So, from January to May 2025, 44.4 thousand deaths occurred in Russia. Accidents with deaths or injuries, which is 0.7% more than in the same period last year. The number of dead in them amounted to 4.6 thousand people (-1.9%), and the wounded — 55.7 thousand people (+0.5%).
