The cost loss of a Chinese premium car after an accident has been calculated

Chinese premium used cars may lose 60-70% of their value after an accident. Experts from the Migtorg online platform told Izvestia about this on June 17.
So, the premium Chinese Voyah Free crossover may lose up to 60% of the cost of a relatively new one in an accident. At auctions, such cars from 2023 and 2024 are sold for an average of 1.48 million rubles.
A direct competitor in class, but equipped only with an internal combustion engine, the Exeed TXL crossover may lose 73.7% after an accident. Such a battered car can be purchased for an average of 954.7 thousand rubles (the statistics include cars in 2023 and 2024).
As Alexander Korotkov, CEO of Migtorg, noted, the cost of broken hybrids is higher compared to cars with a conventional engine due to the safety of batteries in case of an accident — they are located in one of the most protected areas of the car. In addition, the internal combustion engine, which performs the function of a generator, usually has a small volume and costs much less to repair than larger engines from other models, he said.
According to experts, the closing time of a premium Chinese hybrid lot is 17% shorter compared to a Chinese car with an internal combustion engine. Sellers of broken Chinese premium cars with internal combustion engines often face a long period of time when the car is on the market and the need to significantly reduce the price in order to interest a potential buyer, experts noted.
It was reported yesterday that almost 1.7 million vehicles have been recalled in Russia under the relevant programs over the past five years. Of these, more than 200 thousand cars of different brands were recalled in 2025.
