Paris NN will play in the new RPL season instead of Khimki

The Bureau of the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) has approved the Pari Nizhny Novgorod football club as a participant in the next season of the Russian Premier League (RPL) instead of the Khimki football club. This was reported on the RFU website on June 16.

On June 4, ten First League clubs called for Paris NN to participate in the next RPL season. It is specified that an official letter based on the results of a survey among the participants of the First League was sent to the RFU.

On May 30, Maxim Mitrofanov, General Secretary of the RFU, said that FC Khimki's license to participate in the next RPL season had not been issued due to overdue accounts payable. According to him, the club did not show the dynamics of debt repayment, and the second aspect of the problem was the lack of guarantees of financing for the next season.
