Bely Rast Logistics Center received the millionth container from China

On June 16, the Bely Rast Logistics Terminal in the Moscow Region received and unloaded the millionth container from China.
"The year 2024 has been fixed, a record figure for two—way transportation with China is over 175 million tons. And by the end of five months of this year, 76 million tons have already been transported. This is an increase of more than 7%," said Oleg Belozerov, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways.
In addition, Zhou Lijun, chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia, noted that currently the volume of trade between Russia and China has reached $244 billion. China has also maintained the status of Russia's largest trading partner for quite a long time.
The Bely Rast terminal is the largest logistics center of the so-called "New Silk Road". This concept involves the creation of the fastest and most convenient transit routes in Eurasia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on May 8 that Russian-Chinese relations are self-sufficient and independent of the current global situation.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, in turn, stressed at the talks with the Russian leader that states are obliged to steadily strengthen bilateral strategic cooperation and promote equal multipolarity.
