The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the death of a man while swimming in the Miass River

An investigation has been organized in the Kurgan Region into the death of a 21-year-old young man while swimming in the Miass River. The regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia reports this in its Telegram channel.

The tragedy occurred last Saturday, June 14, on the Miass River in the village of Baklanskoe. It was previously established that a local resident drowned while swimming in the evening.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, eyewitnesses tried to save the young man, but could not. Today, on June 16, as a result of repeated search activities, the body of the drowned man was found by divers, the news agency " <url>" clarifies.

Upon the death of the young man, the Kargapolsky interdistrict investigative department organized an inspection. Based on its results, a decision will be made to initiate a criminal case.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that a 37-year-old resident of the Chelyabinsk region died while swimming in a lake in the Baymak district of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The woman was swimming on the territory of the Grafskoye campsite, but in an unequipped place for this.
