- Non-oil and gas revenues in the first quarter amounted to almost two thirds of the budget of the Russian Federation
Non-oil and gas revenues of the Russian federal budget for the first quarter of 2025 amounted to almost two thirds of total revenues. This was announced on June 16 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"His (the federal budget in the first quarter. Non—oil and gas industries remain the mainstay. These are processing, agriculture, and services, which accounted for almost two—thirds of revenues, which is especially important when the global oil market remains volatile," Mishustin said during a government meeting, reviewing the federal budget performance report for the first quarter.
Also, according to him, GDP in the first three months increased by about 1.5% year-on-year, and the volume of investments increased. We have shifted the necessary advance payments to the beginning of the year as much as possible, including in order to create comfortable conditions for enterprises to conclude contracts with suppliers.
"Thus, the expenses amounted to even a little more than a quarter of what was planned in the budget for the whole year. But this makes the box office execution clear, and allows you to avoid interruptions in financing," Mishustin added.
On June 11, the State Duma adopted a law on amendments to the federal budget for 2025. The volume of oil and gas revenues will increase by 829 billion and amount to over 30 trillion rubles, such an increase is projected due to revenues from domestic excise taxes, taxes and non-tax payments.
