In the Kirovohrad region of Ukraine, the heads of medical institutions helped conscripts evade mobilization by issuing fictitious certificates of unfitness for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on June 16 by the National Police of the country.

"Corruption schemes of evading mobilization have been exposed. The amounts of bribes ranged from $1 thousand to $10.5 thousand. It is known that at least 20 people used their "services"," the message published on the agency's website says.

It is clarified that "clients" were given fictitious diagnoses, which made it possible to become unsuitable for service in the Armed Forces. To make everything look true, the participants in the scheme found really sick people and used their MRI or CT scans.

In Odessa on June 15, employees of the Shopping mall (territorial recruitment centers, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) tried to forcibly mobilize a military man and wounded him with a weapon. It is reported that after the incident, the man was taken to the hospital, and the police began to investigate the actions of the TCC staff.
