A criminal case has been opened against a resident of the Bakhchisarai district of Sevastopol over the murder of his former mother-in-law. This was announced on June 16 by the Investigative Committee (IC) for Crimea and Sevastopol.
"The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia have opened a criminal case against a 46-year-old resident of the Bakhchisarai district, suspected of murdering a 63—year-old resident of the Balaklava district," the agency's Telegram channel says.
The investigation revealed that the suspect had repeatedly accused his former mother-in-law of divorcing his wife. He ambushed a woman who was with his four-year-old son and inflicted several stab wounds.
The victim died on the spot from her injuries, and the attacker tried to escape, but was detained by eyewitnesses. In the near future, the suspect will be charged, the investigation will go to court with a petition for the election of a preventive measure against him.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that a resident of Sevastopol killed his former mother-in-law on the street. The incident occurred on the street in the area of the Reef co-op.
